We’ve been blessed on the weather so far, been looking like this most of the day and fading before it reaches us. Thank you Lord!

Little sprinkle is almost passed thru, no movement yet. Overcast and 42, perfect for movement.

Watch for last light. A light rain will make them frisky. Shot my biggest durring and between rain showers. Hope a big axis shows up for ya Tim.

                    I believe it's a doe/spike and exotic hunt only.

Why won't they let you sit all day?

It's a WT spike, doe, and exotic hunt only.

                        Lemme get this straight...
Kill the small bucks and baby maker does? Exotics I understand.
Don't see the logic. Please educate me why they do this.

We’re out for the night. Had a big 8 come in in a blind spot to about 5 yards and we saw each other at the same time. Another deer came in right before dark and hung up in the woods. Never came in for me.
We’ll try them again on the morning.

Have you ever been to any of the hill country state parks? They are overrun with animals. Some you can almost hand feed the deer in and around the camp sites.
Its a way to allow hunters to try and control the populations in the state parks. Most state parks have buck hunts there on a different draw application.
