First bull redfish

I always wanted to chase bull reds at this time of the year so this was the year I finally decided to just do it. So glad I did as it was a blast and I sure learned alot! I hooked up with 2 bull reds about an hour apart on friday but lost one right at the net due to the jetty rocks. The second one I landed and measured 37".......my first ever bull red! What an awesome fight they put on and a cool experience when they start running and peeling line! A few quick pics and he was released to fight another day. I had the Gopro going and and managed to get some great video as well. The following day I caught a mangrove snapper and a 22" red. Overall it was an awesome and memorable trip.

catching bull reds is a blast! every now and then we'll go after them with trout stuff. catching a 40+ inch red on light tackle is a heck of a time.
