Public Dove Hunting- Austin Area

Alright so with dove season right around the corner, it's time for my butt to get on top of where I will be dove hunting this season. Being a broke college kid, the public land surrounding the Austin area is the best option for me and I was wondering what everyone else's luck with these units were and if y'all had any pointers. I know water will be key.

I have hunted Grainger for the past 5 years , first 4 years had tons of birds and got a limit every time I went out there. Last year killed 3 birds with 4 trips out there. here is the public lands booklet for the Austin area , there are quite a few areas down by New braunfels and san Marcos. I have a private dove lease this year.
