heading to unit 34 in mid august for bear. have family friends who go and run hounds. im not a fan of sticking a bear a few yards up a tree stranded, but i will do it. were going for 10 days. the first 5 im spot and stalking the last 5 i will go ahead and try the dogs depending on if i had a close encounter spot and stalking yet or not. if i have had a close encounter i will go ahead and keep trying. if not, let the dogs out... who has hunted unit 34 around Weed New Mexico? how did you hunt it, success rate and tips for a good spot and stalk.... all help will be benificial....
