Possibly. Every year we have goofy looking bucks that never shed their velvet, or are really late shedding their velvet, then drop their antlers a few weeks after they rub the velvet off.

We have a ton of granite on our lease. My buddy is a wildlife biologist, and he was saying that sometimes the bucks will eat the lichens on the granite and it can lower their testosterone, and this is a result.
