Be careful running jugs on Conroe. I set some out one morning a while back up by the 1375 bridge from my kayak. Came back to pull em that afternoon and paddle up to someone else running them. Unfortunately they were in a power boat. I made the mistake of hollering too soon and never got close enough to get the TX number.

Thankfully we never had to leave them. We started catching about 10 mins after putting them out.

I was wanting to run the boat a little bit so I decided to put out a few jug lines Friday evening.

Ended up with 24 blues and 1 channel cat. No big fish but it was worth getting out of bed for.



On a side note, I realized that I had shared the boat ramp with a legend. He was blocking the dumpster, but with a head of hair like that he can park where he pleases.

Small world. I said you at the ramp after the guy took forever trying to launch.

Nice fish. My wife got SCUBA certified in Lake Travis and she got to feed the catfish hot dogs. She swears they were bigger than 3’ long. They’re just down at 100’.

It goes both ways though, those wakeboard boats with the bags can throw a mean rogue wave. My brother got a free spinal adjustments yesterday thanks to one of them.
