Thanks Reuben!! This was my wifes Valentine's Day present for the cabin in honor of her father, who bought the property were building on to begin with. It was his dream originally to build a cabin, and now we're living his dreams. Miss him every day.

Load of cedar ready to head to Satterwhite!! Hopefully get a few ceiling beams, a mantle, and some small round stock for stair rails.

I'm in for the ride. I'd love to hear what the round about cost is when you're done.

We are doing most of the interior work ourselves so the cost per square foot is lower than you think.

Finally on their list of upcoming builds!!! (Ours is Talco). Josh said they'd be out as early as next Friday to drop off product to start the following Monday the 9th. Weather may back them up though. Needs to dry out!! Our crew is building one in Antlers OK right now so I'm sure they're backed up.

Update: our crew is currently stuck in Oklahoma building a house and cannot finish due to the weather. It will most likely be next week before they can get to us to get started.

A least there is no snow and ice. When they built ours, we had it twice. I was worried about the logs, but there was no problems. Once they start, it goes fast. Pretty cool to watch the progress. This thread brings back some memories. My wife and I did most of the finish work as well. Lots of evenings after work

Raining now. Crews left. They mounted the inner band for the wooden porches but that's all they got done today. I HATE THIS WEATHER.
