Default Help me find a better cellphone holster

I’m an active outdoorsman with a big family who spends way too much time on my phone texting, taking calls, and on websites like TBH.

My problem is the belt attachments on most holsters are plastic or metal clips that bend, break or get loose. The one I’m using now is shown below. It also has a fabric sleeve that the clip is riveted to you can alternatively put the belt through but I can already see it’s going to tear at the cheaply sewn seam and come off at some point when I brush against something.

I’ve also had issues on other holsters with the cover flap coming loose if it’s a snap or magnet type and the Velcro closure works best for me. This one in the photo has the Velcro closure and there is a big enough Velcro pad to stay secure.

My question is does anyone use a holster that has secure Velcro closure PLUS a more secure belt attachment design??

Thanks in advance for your advice. The one I’m using is dirt cheap but I’d pay alot more gladly for a better designed holster.

What kind of phone will you be holstering? I don't wear it on my belt BUT I like my Otterbox defender case. A little bulky but a non issue if wearing on the belt. It comes with a secure clip/cover for belt carrying but again, I'd rather pocket it. Pretty much drop proof. Especially if you have the cover on.

Thanks. I should have mentioned:
I use an Otter Box charging style “Mophie” battery equipped case on mine as well but the plastic “snap-in” cases that attach to your belt also were too weak to adequately secure the phone when I brushed up against something.

I actually thought if that and even noticed Carhart themselves offer a fabric cell phone case. Unfortunately overalls can’t be my full time apparel’😉

Sure they can. You just gotta get used to them.

I have a leather case from blacksmith labs and the clip is more sturdy than any other I have seen. It does not have a velcro closure, but a good magnet, and I have never had my phone come close to coming out of it. I have used it for a 1.5 years and treat is pretty rough.

Here is a link.

Can’t tell from their website but looks like they’re offering only for iPhone 7 & 8 and no holsters that accommodate hard case. But emailed them to confirm.

I will go check them out. Makes sense they’d carry something rugged like that. Thank!!

I’ve tried that. For me I just learned why folks call them “pocket call” or “butt dialed you” .

Put a password code on your phone and it won't buttdial anyone

Get one of the leather workers on here to make you a nice one. Have them make it with a belt loop and not a clip.

This is the only case I’ve been able to find (outside something custom and expensive) that will hold up and accommodate my iPhone 7S in a mophie battery case. Found my first one at tractor supply but have since started ordering from amazon. I go through about 1 per year.
