Well folks, thanks for the encouragement.
Unfortunately another thunderstorm blew in,
and ran me out of the tree about 10 minutes ago.
I put in this ladder stand 3 days ago, and started hand baiting it.
Pigs started hitting it the first day.
I figured with the cool down, and the rain this evening, I might get lucky,
and see some movement before dark. Didn't happen.
I did get to watch the turkey go to roost about 50 yards north of me,
and that was cool.
Stayed till after dark, but the lightning started gettin close again,
so I bailed.
This is a picture of the spot right before it got dark.
Looking due east.
You can see the corn I poured on the trail, and if you look close,
you can also see a bazillion pig tracks in the sand.
It don't look it in the picture, but I'm 15' up, and it's a perfect spot.
I just gotta be there at the right time.
