How much chili to cook per person?

Having a get together tomorow with roughly 12 people. I'm trying to figure out how many lbs. if chili to cook per person. Only side will be jalapeño corn bread. Thanks for any advice you may have.

1/2 lb per person should be sufficient unless all 12 are grown men

Almost any meat I cook for a group I do 1/2 lb per person. Usually leftover but better than short.

I was going to say half pound per person too. Depending on the eaters you should probably have a little left over.

Half a pound is a good measurement for chili ground. Throw in some fried bacon, maybe a extra pound of hamburger.

When our church does it's annual chili fundraiser we calculate six tenths of a pound of raw meat per serving of chili. We have yet to hear a complaint there wasn't enough in the bowl/cup that we serve it in.

almost any meat 1/2 pound per person is a good bet.

If it's all fully grown (over 250) men then I'd do more.
