    Watching this....I love tinkering with old gas engines and seeing if I can bring them back from the dead.

      I'm sure this is very scientific, but I have always used a business card between the flywheel and coil pack on lawn mowers. It seemed to work ok.

        I do the same on Stihls and have had 0 issues.

            Business card does set the gap correctly.

              I did that. Got the darn thing running pretty good. Beat the daylights out of me every time that I used it. Have fun tinkering. Get it running and cut some wood, then put it away and go buy a new Stihl or Husqvarna.
