    Land loan Info

Did a quick search, but couldn't find anything recent. So.... does anyone have an recent information regarding land financing (rates, down payment, etc). Looking into purchasing about 20 acres in the Austin area and will take any recommendations on the best place to finance, what I could be looking at regarding down payment and interest rates, etc.

    Thanks in advance,

Check out Capital Farm Credit. We used them & no issues what so ever!

Capital Farm credit will require 20% down. My daughter just financed their new home and land with them. Not necessarily 20% down but 20% equity.

I'm using prosperity bank in Georgetown as that is who all the realtors recommended. 20% down and 4.25% interest. 30 year note

Most banks will require 20% down for land. Maybe even 30. Interest rates on land are also higher than home mortgage rates.

I used Heritage Land Bank out of Palestine. Really enjoy working with them as they made the process very easy and got a good interest rate 11 years ago. Now if I could just get it paid off.
