    Centershot cams vs riser

I was under the impression that the rest was to be set square to the riser then adjusting yokes to get enough lean out of cam that the arrow matches the string.

Pro shop today said oh no, just line the string up with the lower cam and make sure the arrow is in line....

    Please end my ignorance.

I set my centershot to the cam just like the shop told you. It has worked for me and that is how a lot of my friends do it as well, ive actually never adjusted my yokes to lean the cam, so I have no idea how that works.

idler or cam lean has to be set @ full draw, as you stated by adjusting the split harness.

I am basing center shot off lining string up with riser. At 20 yards I'm to the left of the bull at 40 I'm to the right.
You are right. On the destroyer, cam lean is set straight at rest. Center shot is set accordingly. Then do a walk back tune to get center shot and nock height adjusted. After that, check paper for fine adjustments with yokes if needed.
