Snow twice in a year/winter season has literally happened fewer than a handful of times in the past 60+ years. It’s a once in a lifetime phenomenon and seems to occur in February when it does happen. But we know it can happen and statistically we should be due for such an anomaly one would think.

Still not trusting the models, they swung back really cold (I mean really cold) today. These model runs remind me of a few exes- bi-polar personality bordering on split personality!

Chilly week ahead. Too cold to duck hunt, unfortunately. Looking like we’ll lock up Saturday night. Could thaw on the warm up, Monday, but not for long enough to matter.

I’ll probably try to another deer to fill the freezer on Saturday/Sunday. My food plots ought to be getting hit hard.

Im just glad that it wont be a hot, humid, and miserable Christmas like the last two years. I am one certainly not latching on to any one solution the models are spitting out, other than it looks like some cold air is headed this way, and possibly even colder AFTER Christmas. The 18Z GFS is pretty ridiculous.. lol 1066MB High anchored in Colorado on the 26th.. not sure I am buying that.
