This new design looks like a pretty good value, anyone given it a shot yet? I like the varmint resistant design, similar to Lamco. $399 @ Bucees

They are made exclusively for Buc-ee’s. Won’t find any info on them anywhere else. Trust me I looked

Bought one and put it out this weekend. Slightly shorter than the original but it seems pretty stout. Comes with the standard ASF timer that works pretty good. Only drawback is the poor hinge and latch system on the timer cabinet door but that can be fixed pretty easily.

What kind of conduit is on the motor wires? I see it as a possible weak link when it comes to the stinkin’ coons.

Only weak link I saw was the exposed motor as well. Quick trip to Home Depot and 10 bucks later it would be a quick fix.....6" air duct cap

I just bought and put out 3 of the Stand & Fill ASF units and the only problem I see with them is I wish they would have placed wire underneath the feeder to allow the corn to fall through the wire and not have to slide down the sides of the metal that is on them now. I have seen cows, coons, pigs and deer around these feedrse for the last month with now problems!
When yu say a lot cheaper than the 600#'er, what price are you looking at? |

Buddy has the one with wired bottom, he wishes it has the bottom metal plate. Corn typically stays under feeder.

Is that complete. I would think that price is without the timer, battery and solar charger. Never saw anything ASF built that was reasonably priced.

[QUOTE=bbqfan5909;13503329]Buddy has the one with wired bottom, he wishes it has the bottom metal plate. Corn typically stays under feeder.
He must not have a target rich environment. Corn never stays under my feeder at any feed time. The new AS stand and fill with plate are lower to ground which makes it harder imo to get under. Have a friend who has a plate type and has tons of pictures of coons hanging on it scraping the left overs off metal plate. I’ve got the wired cage bottom and have no pictures of coons. Axis, hogs, and deer eat every kernel at every feeding so they leave nothing for coons so they don’t show up lol Notice the axis buck with horns with head under feeder plenty of clearance ![]() Last edited by mason bowhunter; 09-04-2018 at 08:37 PM. |

I like the sound of that. The stand and fill I bought last fall was jacked up in 2 weeks by coons. They strip out the solar panel wires and pull the leads off the battery.
I haven't been thrilled with mine to be honest. I got some feeders going this weekend and my all seasons varmit guard hinges were rusted solid and froze up. I will try to get some oil on them this weekend to free them up but afraid they will break from the welds if I try to open the feeder cage door any further. |

FYI for anyone interested in these feeders just got off the phone with manager at Buccees in Waller and they got 12 of the feeders in today.
She also said these things are selling like hot cakes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
