Same for us with Ripple. Also looking at Zcash. My question is can you transfer back out to dollars with the lesser known ones?
We bought Etherieum and Litecoin on Coinbase because it's easy enough to transfer to dollars at this point. We are late to the party but since we plan on holding it until the end of time it doesn't matter. My wife keeps talking about when Amazon was $200 a share and Facebook was $27 and how much better shape financially we'd be in if we hadn't been too scared to invest.Comment

My buddy is using GDAX iirc to buy Ripple. He transferred LTC from Coinbase to GDAX and traded the LTC for Ripple. I too , dont see a way to use GDAX to buy ripple... and everything ive found on it so far says it cant be done (yet)...
GDAX is owned by Coinbase. which doesnt support purchases for Ripple (yet...so ive read...)Comment

Well after the first week or so my investment is the same...minus fees. It's fun to monitor but my retirement plans aren't changing anytime soon.
