I shook Kevin Fowler's hand at Cooter Brown's in San Antonio once. I was walking by the bar looking at him funny because I was trying to figure out how I knew him. I'm about a foot taller than him and I guess he was afraid I was the boyfriend of one of the many girls hanging around him, so he put his hand up over them to shake my hand lol. He seemed like a cool and laid back dude.

My dad was the one who gave Kevin the idea for the song "How Country Are Ya?". It all started in Leakey at the gas station. My dad talk to him so at the pump and then he invited us over to his camp in Garner, so of course we went. Then my dad asked him, "How Country Are Ya? Do you want some chicken eggs." That's how the song all started. Every since then my parents will take him eggs to the shows and he invites them on the us to have a drink with him before he plays his shows.
