When one refers to a full frame camera, what is that refering to? I read it in several past posts and was wondering. Still havent got that far in Understanding exposure if it is covered in that book or not. Thanks alot.
Full frame refers to a digital sensor the size of a frame of 35mm film, 24mmx36mm. Until recently most digital sensors were smaller than a 35 mm frame, often referred to as APS-C which in Nikon cameras is 23.7mmx15.7mm.
