    Why don't you just be up front and ask him already? I know you're probably nervous and that is totally normal for this kind of thing. Just take a deep breath, look him straight in the eye, and tell him what you want...

        If the deer would stand still long enough to listen I’m sure I could convince him. I’m just afraid that once we bonded I would have a hard time shooting him.

              If he's going to come, he's going to come.

              You don't have to do anything shady to make it happen. Hunt as normal in the area where he is likely to be using existing setups.

              One deer isn't worth a bad neighborly relationship.
