New AR build

Started a lightweight AR build. Got my first parts in today. Aero precision had a limited run of “Vietnam tiger stripe” parts so I bit the bullet. Pretty cool and the Handguard is super light. Total build should be right at 5 lbs if I can add correct.

Rise armorment ra140 trigger, bsf carbon fiber fluted barrel, Brownells lightweight titanium nitride bcg. That’s it so far. Just need the furniture besides that. And a charging handle

how are those Bsf barrels

The bsf barrels are supposed to be amazing. My buddy who owns a gun store put me on to them and owns some himself. Very light and heat dissipation is great as with any carbon fiber barrel.

It should be here Monday and I’ll let you know how it shoots.

I've been eyeing these for awhile, and I can save some coin, vs a Proof.
I do like some Proof though
