Pickled garlic, peppers, olives and carrots

I get this from HEB and it ain't cheap. So I decided to make it myself. I got 6 heads of garlic, about 10 jalapenos, a jar of olives and some baby carrots. In one canning jar I put about half of the olives, rinsed, 10 jalapeno's, about 10 baby carrots and about half of the garlic peeled. I added a tbl spoon of pickling spice. In the second jar I put the other half of the olives, the other 3 heads of garlic peeled and 10 carrots and a tbl spoon of pickling spice.

I then boiled 4 cups of vinegar, a tbl spoon of pickling spice, 1 cup & 1/3 sugar then added to the jars. The recipe says to now put in the fridge for approx 3 weeks then eat.

Anyone else make this before. Any other simple recipes to try.

Sounds good but you may want to cut you vinegar with water next time. When I pickle I use 1/3 cup vinegar to 2/3 cup water. Yours may turn out great but I have never seen a recipe with straight vinegar.

      Thanks for the input

I will see how this batch comes out. The recipe I found did not mention water. Will let folks know how it turn out.
