    I built the red headed brother, 6.5 Grendel.
    More so for the adjust-ability that I can shoot it then shorten the stock and my 10yr old can shoot it.

        I dont reckon that a 6.5 CM or a 7mm-08 should be used on anything farther than 400 yards. Heck, I dont like to shoot anything farther than 300 yards, I would rather stand on my hind legs and hunt the animal.

        Just my opinion, and I know it aint worth much. Lol

            I am one of the few guys that is in the middle on my opinion. It isn't perfect but it certainly doesn't suck. It has worked well for me and fits my current needs the most at the moment.

There are tons of data showing that over all they are the same. yes one particular bullet one might beat the other slightly or visa versa. Typically its the match "target" bullets that win in the 6.5 and the "hunting" bullets that win in the 7-08.
