          looks the same to me , I`ve had hides change colors after cleaned and tanned . had a few red foxs hides turn orange`ish .

              The taxidermist has lots of amazing work. I was just concerned because it looks much darker. Plus the fact that the entire back hide is now missing. I know the lighting, pic angles, and tanning can affect the pictures and look. Thats why I was looking for your opinions.

              You've convinced me. I truly appreciate the help!

                              There are some subtle differences that appear when with cleaning.
                              The chances of the taxidermist having another "calico mouflon" cape THAT similar, in his inventory, are less than winning the lottery.

                              That is definitely your cape.

                              As for the back hide ... sheep hair is very brittle and makes horrible throws.
                              If it's lost, don't loose too much sleep.

                              What kind of turn around time did he promise you that got you to start calling him after four months?
