Need a taxidermist
I'm lookin for a taxidermist near Schertz, NE San Antonio, who works on snakes. I'd like to make a hat band or something out of a 3.5 foot rattle snake I dispatched at work. If anyone on here who could help me out, I would appreciate it. Need price quotes. Thanks.

Most taxidermists will work with snakes. However I tried to get a buddy to do a coral snake for me on a Euro mount of mine, but he said that was the one snake he won't touch. After keeping it vacuum sealed in the freezer for a year I finally threw it out.Comment

What would work a bit better is this tannery.
Longhorn Tannery in Weimar will do what you want, Dad will tan it and Mom can make the hat band. Give them a call, and you can do a search for comments here on the green screen.

Ok
For the tanning it is $10.00 per foot
And to make the hat band Mom said somewhere around $50.00
But remember this is just ball park numbers as far as the hat band cost.Comment
