That sir is a TEXAS blind. We go BIG here and we go OVERKILL. I like it and I hope you kill the bull of the woods out of it. Now all you need is a way to run power to it..

Default Pit Blinds

I have hunted out of pit blinds for years. They are great! I have used them in Michigan, Colorado, Texas and South Africa.

Great job and great idea. I think it would be nice to have a blind like that as it would work perfect for those of us whose back acts up somtimes and you can't sit in a tree stand all day plus you could stand up to stand to stretch inside. I could even get my wife out to watch deer in that!

Good job. Do you open a window to shoot thru when you get there?

So cool! I hunted in similar setups in Africa. Doesn't need to be camo, the animals get used to it.

No. We just shoot thru the mesh. I think they need to have covers to really seal them up when not being hunted, but the two guys who built them didn't. The latest one's mesh screen swings open for low light conditions.

We didn't build them to be scent proof. We just wanted comfort in hot and cold temps. So we still take showers and wash clothes in scet free soap, and do all the other stuff.

Have you made any more of these? I'd like to see what else you have built.
