I don't baste mine. But occasionally I'll inject midway through the cook. I use 1/3 cup of water 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar 1/3 cup of olive oil and some some brisket rub to the mix. If it's a small brisket I do t use all of the marinade larger one I inject twice during the cooking period.

You mean mop?
1 onion 4 lemons 1 stick of butter Half cup or so of apple cidar vinegar Little bit of oil Couple cloves garlic Lots of salt Couple thing of whole all spice crushed up Water Boil for a bit to get everything cooked together then use. This is a brisket, not pork. Wrap it after about 6 hours if you want it extra moist: no need to mop it.
