Default Big buck at a long distance

I know these pictures aren't great, but i had a chance to see a huge buck a few days ago. Came out one morning on neighbors wheat field. Absolute huge rack. According to my trusty Sig Sauer Kilo 2000 range finder, the closest the buck got to me was 438 yards. This was a huge buck. I hope the pics do justice to the thing at the distance.

Nice buck and pics. That is a long distance for any camera/lens.

Nice buck. Funny how they come out of the woodwork when the season is over.

It's like those old bruisers know when the shots stop ringing out it is safe to go out haha! Hope he makes it to next season and doesn't go past his prime.

By my estimation about a 500# pig. Purposely not trying to exaggerate. I saw him cross that field one morning a few weeks earlier. Largest wild animal i've ever seen. I seriously think he was 500#'s. He was obviously large enough that those boys didn't have, or want to get, equipment to move his carcass out of that field.

Wheat fields in winter in North Texas are awsome. The big boys come out for sure. I'll try and get some pictures in a couple of weeks when we go shot some quail.
Thanks for sharing.
