Update......Between mother nature, day job, family issues and on and on I haven't been able to do much on my barndo.

I am back at it today installing a couple of windows and hopefully get measurements of all the roof and siding today along with insulation quanity.

Not looking forward to writing that check.

What insulation are you going with?

The thing is that I am not going to be able to do it myself. I am going to get a quote on conventional 3" roll type and comparable spray foam. I will have to add installation labor on the conventional stuff.

Update....

Finished the structure part of the build. Got the measurements for the tin and insulation. My daughter and I installed the base angle the other day. Lots of hammer drilling and hammering that was. The mrs. and I installed a entry door to a storage room and framed the other entry doors. Now to dry it in.

Where the front door will be........

Window install......

Car port access into the utility room.

After the morning hunt tomorrow I am going the pick up the roof and wall panels along with the trim, screws etc. Invoice says its just under 10,000lbs of material.
I should have all of it installed by the end of the weekend.

Finally got some siding on. The Mrs, daughter and myself got 16 pcs up yesterday. Installing around the windows slows us down to a snail's pace but it is what it is.

Thanks y'all!

Finding out it's one piece at a time for the siding. Trimming out windows and cutting out takes a bit of time.

The Mrs and me got this side done and then the rain set in yesterday. Today is alos wet so it looks like I'll be inside my shop doing what I can do with window trim.

My IPhone camera is acting up again so the pics can be out of focus and wavey.

Working on the front side now. Installing the 12+ft panels by myself with a little wind really sucks. I am starting to think that the roof will be more than I can do now.

Another shot of the back taken with a real digital camera instead of my iPhone.

Thanks to all for the kind words.

Sorry I haven't updated lately.........
I have lots of things going on and when I get time off it seems the weather is my greatest enemy. My right knee needs replacing and gives me a lot of trouble. Have the holidays and hunting season behind me now. I am just about done with the sides, was planning on finishing them yesterday and today but rain held me back again. I really don't want to but I think I am going to have to hire someone to install the roof as I feel that I can not do on my own. Between the 22ft long pieces, the weight, height, wind etc is just to much for me safety wise.

Here are some current pictures of my work, its starting to look like something now. I bought a few electrical items today to get started with. 500ft of 3/0 for the service and outside 220V panel namely.

Great looking barndo!

My wife and I are in the process of putting one up as well. We had the shell put up by a contractor, and are finishing the interior (electric, plumbing and finish work) ourselves. It's certainly a process.
