It is garage sale season. So far I am 0 for 15 in the stove/lantern dept. Did find a road feeder though for 10 bucks that I fixed up.

I don't have any fuel other than propane so I haven't tried it yet. It's actually very clean and I see no reason why it shouldn't

I guess that depends on the collector.

Lanterns, stoves, and ice chest.

Lanterns(single or double mantle), stoves(single, two or three burner), heaters, ice chest, water jugs, stove stands, chef trays, heat drum for single burner stove and so on.

Coleman is into everything it seems like. The International Coleman Collectors Club is based in Richardson, TX.

Check the font(tank) for rust before fueling it up. Once inspected fire that bad boy up. I have one and it's going to get used once I find a heat drum.

Dang it Timm. I keep talking myself out of this, but I think your thread finally has worn me down and brought on a strong, nay uncontrollable, hunger for collection of all things Coleman. As if I needed something else to spend money on. Now, on to the search for my precious!!

It's fun to get some old gear and restore it. Mike Smith is to blame. He got me started. I wanted the gear to use and I have some great gear now for the family trips or my solo trips.

Just learn to be patient on prices. Do not over pay or get into a bidding war. Coleman made a lot of this stuff and it's out there.

I got a stove from Jacksonville FL and one from San Angelo. You just have to look all over the place. Hit the garage sales in your area. Pawn shops are work a quick walk through.

I wasn't joking!

The Heater 1976 and Lantern 1984 are to be used but not sure on stove yet.

It says model 425B on it.

Does that translate to a year? Can't find year anywhere.

Look on the tabs that hold the tank on to the stove. The date is on the tabs.

I am painting my 413G case and lid. Soaking the burners and assembly in Metal Rescue.
Need to order two leather cups and my stoves will be perfect for using again.

I got two stoves and two lanterns from 2050z. He found a bunch of good stuff and he sold me part of it. I got the two stoves and one of the lanterns burning yesterday. The remaining lantern, a 1959 model, needs a little work.

426D three burner stove
418F two burner stove
220E lantern

What year is the 426D Mike? Mine has a different tank on it.

Y'all are finding pretty one's. Mine looked like it had been buried for 30 years. It came out of my dad's garage.

7-77 This stove had the date stamp on the bottom of the case. Most of the dates will be on the bottom of the stove case or on the bottom of the lantern font (tank).

The garage sales have not been good to me so far as far as camping gear.

I think my favorite Coleman product are the single burner stoves. What I really want to find is a single burner stove in my birth year.

Had to pull the trigger on this one today.

Never used 1973 2 mantle 228H

Any things I should be aware before firing it up?

I don't think I could fire that beauty up. I would keep that one as is and pick you up a garage sale user.

Great finds !!!

The smaller nickel font (tank) looks like a 243. They are fairly rare. The middle one looks like a 220E or 220F from the late 50s to early 60s. The big lantern could be a Quick Lite. All are in excellent condition.

Now you need to get them burning !!

Is there a good site y'all use for resto info? Would love to get them to usable (and then display them) condition, but don't want to harm value.
