Cooked this the other night and it is in my top favorite cooked at home dishes. I've been telling all my family and relatives to try it. Just couldn't believe something this easy would taste so good.

OH MY GOSH!!! It's unbelievable that something this good came from a crockpot! I made this last night to take to some friend's pool party today. I was skeptical, wife was skeptical, had to put it back up and swear off it till lunch or we would have had it for breakfast. No kidding, it's that good.

My version:
I bought the McCormick's Slow Cookers Pulled Pork Seasoning and a 9lb pork butt at Albertson's. I have a smaller crock pot so I trimmed off as much fat as I could and deboned it. I rubbed the butt in the seasoning and added some Worcestershire sauce to the water as well as a little crushed garlic. (Hey, I like garlic) I wanted to add some smoke to this recipe so I started a pecan wood fire in the pit and smoked the butt for a little under 2 hours on indirect heat. I then put it in the crockpot and let it cook on the low setting all night.

This is by far the best thing I've ever cooked in a crockpot.

Made some last night! Put a pork butt in the crock pot about 7:30 last night, with some water, worchesteir sauce, little red wine vinegar, and some liquid smoke. Had the meat rubbed down really good with some dry rub and sitting in the fridge all day. Woke up this morning and took it out at about 6:30. It was falling apart easily. Drained the juice from the pot, and started a batch of beans using the strained juice from the meat. They should be ready by the time I get home today. The meat tasted great, added some barbque sauce to it after I shredded it, and put in the fridge for tonight!
Thanks for the idea!

I think I'm going to try to smoke it for 3 to 4 hours and then put it in the crock pot for a few hours. Has anyone tried that? The last time I just smoked it , it took more than 12 hours.

Wow, I can't believe how easy this was. I pretty much followed directions on the McCormick's packet (since it was my first stab at this) and it tastes great! Add a side of cole slaw and everyone's asking for more. Thanks for putting this out there.

Cooked this up using a hind leg of a wild pig about 5 lds with bone. Mummmmm good. I used 2 packs of McCormicks and subbed Sweet Baby Rays for the ketchup. Added a touch of Worcestershire, four garlics, and one small onion. Probably only needed one packet of McCormicks, but it came out tasty. My sister in law wanted to know where we bought the pork.
