Default TFSC week 12

Everytime i "win" one of these i say im not shooting in another. I've been thinking about how hard it can be to get in practice time on a regular basis so . . .
This week we are playing washers. I used a standard sheet of paper. Three 2" circles with 1" circles centered in them. I offset them to give as much room between as possible yet have none right on the edge. Number them in any order you like but each washer will get one arrow. We can only shoot at one washer per day.

Shots in the center of the washer scores 10 points. In the wider area of the washer scores 8 points. On paper but still within a half inch of that days washer scores 3 points. Hits off the paper or more than half an inch off the line no score unless . . .

Hitting a washer that is not that days target nets negative points equal to that targets scoring. -8 or -10.

You must cut a line to score that area. We are going to shoot from 15 yards for adults, 10 yards for youth. Ten years and under 5 yards. If your an adult who has just started traditional in the last month or so shoot it at 12.

Highest score wins the next call.

Day one shot. Not a "bad" shot but not close enough to score any points either.Name: 20170320_114452.jpg

On the road to son's baseball game today, but hope to start tomorrow. Any problem drawing a circle or dashed lines at the 1/2" (3-point) boundary?

Great call.

Decided to go with broadheads again.

Not as good as Junkers88's pinwheel, but still gets me a 10.
Great shooting Junkers88 !!!

Thanks, but don't hold your breath.
They don't all fall where they're supposed to.

Today's shot surprised me.
I didn't believe it until I got up there to look.

Nice shooting guys. I hope I get time to shoot this week. Missed it totally last week; haven't picked the bow up since last Tuesday. ERRRRR! Hoping this week treats me better.

Do we need to post each shot per day to prove we did it once a day or do we wait and post all three on the third day?

It's not mine to question your integrity but it does make the thread more interesting. However it's easier to post pics now with tapatalk. Photobucket works but is laborious.

Best case scenario yeah but if you use photobucket or similar you have to do extra steps. Not always worth posting a pic. I hardly ever post pics on THF anymore because it's tougher.

Two pictures today. The first is one of my daughter. Almost every time I go outside to shoot she insists that she takes her bow and we let her shoot for about half an hour. I couldn't be more proud if I tried.

This is what happens when you don't touch a stickbow for a few days. At least it missed negative numbers. (Shooting for the 1, not the 3, btw.)

Broadhead again.
Shot this one while setting on a hunting stool.

I was more confident in this shot, than I was the first.
but only got an 8. I'll take 8's all day long.

Think I'll shoot shot #3 while setting on top of a 6ft ladder.

Richard.
Because my broadheads are priority in my tuning process.
I make them shoot first, then keep going until the field points shoot right with them.

Another good shot Rick. I didn't shoot it tonight. Hands and forearms shot from work. Decided to shoot another one tomorrow. However I did run 14 arrows down range and most of them were pretty good kill zone shots. After that I was done.

Retired from the city. Boat docks are slow during hunting season. Figure it's a good time to be off. Now it's back to work and I'm out of work shape. I'm better at lazy.

For sure!! They're on fire this week. I shot 30 or 40 more arrows after that one, and I'm shooting good. Just waaayyy off on the first one!! And that's the only one that counts lol.

Used a broadhead again.
Shot setting on top of the ladder.

I was feeling the pressure.
Drew, and let down 3 times before the shot,
but staved it off enough to get a solid 8.

Dang it, dang it, dang it!

Shot my last one today and it's outside the 1/2 buffer on number 3. The hole is elongated due to there being no cardboard behind that portion of the target.

Soooooo close.

Okay, -8 on the day and the challenge. Best I can spin this is all three shots were right around 3 inches from the edge of their intended 2-inch circle.... Hunter's got to always see the bright side.
