    carne guisada

    what you need:
    1: meat.... lots of meat
2: carne guisada seasoning mix---in spice section
    salt
    pepper
    ground cumin
    chili powder
cube all your meat in to bite size pieces,in a pan put some oil and brown all the meat and season to taste with salt, pepper, cumin and chili powder.once you have done all that add 2 cups of water or enough to be 1/4"-1/2" above the meat, set on med high cover and let simmer about 12-15 min checking water level, meat will soak up water you will need some water for mix later on. check a piece for tenderness if tough check water add more if needed and cook till tender..in a small cup add 2/3 water and 3 table spoons of carne guisada mix and stir
when tender add mix and stir till desired thickness if thin add mix, thick add water
serve with some fried potatoes, tortillas cheese, hot sauce and get out of the way

works well for those wives and kids that tell you the meat taste funny, and those tuff pieces of meat

    enjoy
