The Llano river near Mason is expected to crest again at 36 feet this afternoon.
Someone earlier said their friend's cabin on the James River had 2' of water in it.

I wonder what the record is for amount of flood gates opened at mansfield at one time due to flooding?

Well they finally opened just two gates. If they thought it was going to flood bad they should have opened up 4 or even 6 gates a long time ago.

Was headed to lease in Castell area on Wednesday but not now. Had one fellow lease member text me last night that he barely made it out this morning with 4 WD. Has never seen things like it is now. Understand a side by side washed into the bridge at Castell last night or this morning.

Sitting here at Big Chief on Buchanan moving our dock. Water is close to be going over the spill way. Eventually they are going to have to open a gate or two. This is a nightmare unfloding

The news just reported that today's Llano river crest was 39.9 feet but it is expected to crest again tonight at 41 feet. If the house didn't flood this morning it certainly will tonight.

And Lake Travis is now full

We got a report that the Johnson Fork crested at 40 ft below Segovia. Our entire place is 28 feet above the creek. Not looking forward to seeing whatís left. Never dreamed the south Llano could back that much water up the tributaries.

Only been in 1 flood and that was while we were canoeing the Rio Grande River in 1975. Lost a canoe that night that was not tied up good and when we started loading the canoes that morning, it rose about 2 feet in 15 minutes so we pulled the canoes up on a high bank we were camped on (very lucky) and it stopped rising after about a 12' rise in about 2 hours. They pulled over 70 canoers out of the river that night and next morning.
I feel for the folks experiencing this as I saw what water could do when we watched that rise/flood on the Rio Grand. I cannot imagine what you folks are experiencing. Stay safe please!

Default Llano River Flooding

Our river house upstream of Llano survived by a couple feet.

I'm not too confident about this next rise, considering the forecasted rise seemed off last night.

Canít get through Kingsland. Lots of devastation everywhere.

I drove to llano to check on the river house but couldnít get to it. Still donít know if my parentsí lake house in Highland Haven is ok.

Cell service is down from just east of Llano to Granite Shoals.

Well I can't say it has never flooded anymore. Just our boathouse/extra bedroom/outdoor kitchen, so not nearly as bad as many others on the lake. Worried about this next crest as evidently my boat got right to the top of the boathouse roof. No damage this time but if it goes a foot higher on the next crest, I'd imagine my boat will not fare well.

Llano is expected to crest again but higher between 40-41 ft. Buchanan will start opening gates tonight as water comes in from the San Saba and Colorado. The perfect Fubar flooding is going to come together and everything done from Buch and Kingsland is gonna get hit hard. I think the worst is just ahead and with more rain coming itís not looking good

I think it took about 2 hours from crest in llano to crest at kingsland this morning.

I'm guessing that it crests in llano around 7:00 based upon forecast on LCRA site.

But simple is answer get out now, before it escalates quickly, and it gets too late.

I'm not there. Was just thinking about going and getting my boat out from under the boathouse and tying it up where it can just rise with the lake. Too risky to do in the dark (my boathouse had about about 2-3' of water on it) so I'll just take my chances and let it roll!!! Thanks for the info. Good luck to everyone with an interest up that way.

Another wall is coming down the Llano and Colorado on Buchanan. They are going to have to start opening gates on Buch . If you ever been to the first set of falls on Buch well they are probably only falling about 7-10ft vs the typical 30-40ft

At least the Llano has not come up as much as expected. Iím still shocked there was additional flooding in the Junction area but the ground is so saturated the water has no where to go. Definitely will keep praying for those in the LBJ/Marble Falls area. All that we can hope for now is no more rain.
