spam, Underwood deviled ham, Vienna sausages , all remind me of fishing trips with my dad to the coast in the late 60's and 70's , he would take my brother and I we slept in the truck camper on PINS. I made the mistake as a kids of telling dad this food is cold he opened my spam sandwich put some Tabasco on it and said there it wont be cold anymore.

We used to have it as kids and I had to slice it thin and fry the crap out off it, then make a sandwich with mayo. Tried it again for the first time in about 30 years. Wasn't as good as I remember it being 😩

My mom always grated it with a cheese grater, mixed with miracle whip and mustard with dill pickle relish, then spread it on a fold over. She ate it as a kid and it was a staple in our house. I haven't thought about that in 15 years. I know what I'm making at work next shift.
