    Opening day doe kill

Well I got invited to go to a buddy's place opening day in Leon County. I knew that I couldn't hunt the whole weekend at my place and since he was only hunting Saturday, I went with him. The morning sure was nice. 47 degrees when we got there. About 9:00, I had a doe come within bow range at about 27 yards. I was finally able to get drawn and let the arrow fly and crap. I missed. I was bummed, but I guess that is bowhunting. So, we get back in the stand for the evening hunt and it was a little toasty in the ground blind, but the sun would be going down soon. About 7:00, four doe start to come by single file at about 20 yards. I was not able to get drawn on the first one, but was on the second one. This time, I made a good shot and she went about 75 yards after the shot and piled up. This made for a better day after missing one in the morning.
