    Buffalo horn knife

This was my first time using buffalo horn. Easy to work with but smells horrible when sanding. Over all I like the way it tuned out.

That's really pretty. I used to not like the smell of buffalo horn or cow horn, but I got used to it.

Tell me more about working with horn. I have a Gemsbok (I think) horn that I'd like to make scales out of. I'm likely to need some pointers first, though.

I don't know that I could help you there. I bought the buffalo already cut into scales and then sanded it to the size and shape I needed.
