Still extremely slow last weekend at our place in Southern Real County, bucks are all nocturnal and acorns are aplenty

Saw three bucks chasing a doe midday Saturday. Had a 2.5 year old 8 doggin’ a doe this morning. Didn’t see any mature bucks this trip. Lots of acorns still. Corn piling up in one of my feed pens (hogs can’t get at it overnight). Last filled protein feeders (1000 pound capacity) in early September, and they still have feed in them (unheard of for my place). They can clean them out in a little over two weeks during dry spells. Spotty axis and blackbuck activity at feeders. Big axis bucks I regularly had on camera this summer are nowhere to be found (likely have shed antlers or will do so very soon anyway). Not much daylight pig activity.Last edited by 2coolforschool; 11-12-2017, 07:40 PM.

We shot a 7 point this weekend that needed to be shot. Saw bucks chasing does as well. Corn is piled up below the feeder.......... Not seeing any of the better looking bucks on the game cams in quite some time. Weather was really nice this past weekend and i got .12" of rain on the 8th I believe it was.

Tons of acorns on the ground and still in the trees. Had some newer bucks show up on camera a during the cold weather last week, hopefully they slip up next weekend.
I brought along two great friends this weekend and TBHr Bocephus got his first exotic bow kill- a great free range Sika buck, all on film as well. I told him he could go sit there and get video’d while I went solo after the funky buck posted above.. What was I thinking?
