What ever became of the 1000's of flooded vehicles from Harvey?


I was wondering just how many of them made it to a used car lot?

What should people look for to determine if a vehicle has been flooded?

I saw one place on 521 not too far out of Angelton wit a bunch of nice lookin cars/truck ..Big sign For sale Flooded cars..

Some had salvage titles but most had unrepairable titles to be used only for parts. You could bid on them online at Copart once you joined. I bought a nice TT for a good price that has a unrepairable title but there was nothing seriously wrong with it, it was never flooded just had the slide leak.

There was about a 30 acre field on the Colorado river bottom off 71 that was completely full of flooded cars after Harvey. They eventually hauled them all out, always wondered where they went. Was pretty apocalyptic looking...

Most went over seas and Mexico.
