There are folks out there that would love to have a bucket like those Randy. There are places they are rare.

If I was scheduling something out for the wifey, what would be the guesstimated Friday return time, unloading and pictures, fish cleaning? Rough guesses would be fine

On a single trip, I nailed Yellowfin, Blackfin & BigEye tuna.

Last trip, swordfish around 200lbs as well as a 12ft squid, circled the boat at night....as the tuna were blowing up everywhere.

It gets absolutely JURASSIC - the power of these animals is simply unreal

Burnadell giving it hell! Glen behind Randy.

Doug with a fine BlackJack - he scratched this species off his bucket list last year.

We just got back Friday and killed them!!!! Caught over 400 fish. No yellow fin but plenty of other fish!!!! Good times!!! I posted earlier my fish pics

Deadeye1 Congrats Solid AJ and Blackfin tuna trip! You can sink the boat with blackfin tuna, if the night time setup has them around. Blackfin will stage over 200 - 300 ft areas with Amberjack. The Yellowfin prefer over 1000ft of water and typically school around deep water floaters in 3000 - 9000ft of water. The Yellowfin trips are unique in that they require the longest run time as well as a couple of days to dial in floater location where the best concentrations of these fish are. Fall and early winter is the best time to target the larger yellowfin tuna with many of the fish size averages around 70 - 140 lbs.

Geoffro, Doug, Glen, Josh, Rob & Chuck - from your previous trips Randy.

Then we have a crew you haven't fished with. Rick is with us and he's made a few of our wahoo trips. Rick owns Port A Outfitters and has a friend of his, who rolls down from Colorado to fish with him. Both of these men fished with us during the top of the year Wahoo trip at Flower Garden Bank.

Then the rest are our TBH crew with a friend and son mixed in. Everyone is shouting out from this group gathering.

I'm ready gear wise.......smoke has barely cleared from the recent Mexican Baja longrange trip. Tore down those tackle bags and downsized some tackle to match what we do here in the Gulf.

I'm casting an AVET LX Raptor on top this year. Used it a lot along the Baja, running 65lb braid with a 65lb wind-on. It casts great and has 48lbs of drag, which puts more in the stack versus the MXL Raptors (32lbs drag) I've previously used for top.

Hooked right at Sundown - 5 hours later around 1 AM it died on it's 10th leap / breech, got halfway out headfirst and laid over dead.

Dove down 1600ft between jumps.

Fought to the death -37lbs off the State record.

We hooked 4 and decked 3

I bring a 120 for the fish - stuffing that into the back cab section of the truck when we steam offshore. I haul a 50 BRUTE onboard with grub and drinks.

They sell 20lb bags of ice at the dock.

Water temps are plummeting in the Gulf right now. In the surf, just 1.5 weeks ago, water temp was 82 degrees.

Top of the week this week, 78 degrees.

This AM - temps are 73 degrees.

Excellent conditions - SON!

I'm so darn ready - this scene gets the blood boiling when it's on.....pack a bottle of Motrin....if it's on, all of us are gonna need it!
