Breeding. Boar hog grabbing hold of a sows ear. Saw it a couple times.

Watched some boars trying to breed a hot sow once and kept hearing the loud roars close by. Ended up being a huge boar about the size of a 4 wheeler come out and run off all the other boats and took his sow.

They can definitely make some noises that will make the hair stand up on your neck

I had a boar that liked to lay up about 50yds from my feeder and he would growl about the time I got to my tree when he was there
I never thought he was going to "get me" but I dang sure scurried about 4 steps up the climbing sticks just to be sure

As said above a couple of times, breeding pigs with more then 1 boar. I've seen it a few times. Its the perfect time to sneak in a kill one.

Luckily ive never heard them in the dark, but i've heard the sounds they make while coming in and feeding during the day and I for sure wouldnt want to hear those sounds while walking in in the dark.

Been surrounded before while in a pop-up an hour before daylight without a light... awful noises. Made me really wonder what I would do if the pop-up got in their way.
