I have not tried that model out, but where my griddles sits, against the brick wall, i bet it would get old moving the whole thing to clean the trap.

I have this model up against brick wall, not a big deal at all to pivot out, clean trap and put back, no big deal, love my griddle

I grilled the last of my backstraps for dinner last night. Come on deer season!

The griddle barely had a chance to get hot

So came back from vacation and found some rat **** on the griddle. I’ve wiped them away, but what else would you do to clean it up?

I picked up one of the new rear drain models during the amazon sale and like it. First time cooking on a griddle. The rear drain is okay but I think the front drain trap is more functional. Having the drain run full length would be nice. With the rear drain, you have to direct the grease and scraps to the drain if not perfectly level left to right.

Have y'all cooked biscuits on yours yet? Oh man. Take frozen biscuits and let them thaw just a little, put 2 layers of foil around them and gently wrap, giving them enough room to expand. I cooked mine at say 1/2 heat for 4 minutes each side. Smelt like fresh baked, crispy on the outside and just a hair raw inside.

Anyone found a decent spatula? I bought the Blackstone ones and they are great but flimsy. I managed to bend one.

I posted this on a Deal Alert last weekend but here it is again in case someone’s looking. If Lowe’s balks, I can provide a pic of the receipt to see if they’ll match.

I was at Lowe’s in Dallas (NW Hwy/Jupiter) and they had some grills that were in a clearance section for 50-75% off.

There was a 36” Blackstone griddle (drain tray I’m the front) in Black finish that had a $279 tag on it. For grins, I asked an associate if it was discounted as well. She went to the computer and said it was the last one and it was ringing up at 50% off. She called the manager over to see if he would give me 75%. He declined but threw in a cover for free.

It might be worth checking your local Lowe’s.

Just finished seasoning mine this morning!

That price is average. I would definitely consider stainless for leaving at the deer camp.

Good snag and I was going to pick one up for the lease but that maybe the worst website ever. Slow and kept giving me error codes. Tried it on my phone and no luck there either. I guess I will just grab one at Walmart.

It's slow because several TBH'ers are buying them. I know a few have gotten through and bought theirs already.

I joined the griddle club. I got a Blue Rhino. Looking for info on the best spatula and scraper. I have seen the black Stone kit on amazon but wanted to know if they were good quality. Would like some good heavy duty ones. Anybody have good reviews on some?

You Blue Rhino guys, I read a few reviews that indicated the grease trap/pocket got really nasty as the grease or at least some of the grease did not make it into the cup. Have ya'll found this to be the case?

Bought a new 36” for opening weekend. Burners seem to be putting off a smaller flame than I’d expect and griddle took forever to warm up and never got really hot like I’d expect. Brand new LP canister. Anyone have this happen? Is there something I’m missing or did I screw up on the assembly somehow????

Sounds like it is the new safety regulators. They have to be hooked up a certain way and the valves opened a certain way or they restrict the pressure. I think the reset procedure goes something like turn off the propane bottle. Wait a minute or so. Turn off the burners. Wait 5 minutes. Rehook up bottled and turn on. Turn on burner and light. Should fix it. I have the problem occasionally when I change propane tanks. Google the issue it is fairly common.
