when deer atack

Long story short, this morning a doe was on the outside of my fence nose to nose with my 80# blue tick hound , they were running up and down the fence for more than a hour. The doe would charge to the fence and then kick it her front feet. The deer was more aggressive than my dog. No telling what would have happened if one of the would have jumped the fence. .
Have anyone ever seen something like this before ????
My guess is she is a though momma probably with a baby laying in the woods. .

Yes, good chance a fawn was laying very close, almost impossible to spot.

The neighbor's dog of my wife's grandparents got run through and killed by a buck in Kerrville. This was "in town" . They have 6-8 deer pass through her yard nightly. There's a property behind her house that ain't but maybe 5 or 6 acres, but they bed down it there. Its back behind the Wal-Mart.

This doe that had just had a fawn taught my dog he wasn't as tough as he thought.

Uncle's dog was killed by a doe. Hoof to the head.....
