2018 saltwater fishing thread

Fished near POC with a buddy and his son. We got into some dinks and couldn’t get out of em. Between the 3 of us we probably caught 100 trout. Ended up with 5 keeper trout and 2 flounder.

Started catching at sun up, and left em biting when we got out.

That hurts!!! Makes me think of a trip last year and a crazy king mackeral!

We were a good ways offshore and had to push/pull the hook the rest of the way. We couldnt get it all the way thru the skin so had to perform a little surgery to make it work! Finally got it and clipped the barb off. He cracked a beer and kept on fishing! Talk about hard core!!!

Y’all be careful and remember, do not run your hand down the line in haste. This kid came rolling into Froggies real hot bumping the wall just a bit as he jumped out cradling a lure. After five minutes or so a few of us were able to unscrew the hook from the lure...yup, that’s going to leave a mark!

I've had that happen before. Barely into the wade and next thing I know I have the front treble of a Super Spook buried in my hand, with a really upset 20 inch trout connected to the back two trebles. Lots of fun.
