Turkey at Caddo Natl Grasslands?

Anyone else ever tried it? I'm going this weekend. My plan is to start in a swampy area and go from there.

Let me know how you do. I called the office today and they said several hunters had already done well, but that the gobblers clammed up when the rain hit.

Didn't get out there, figured the rain would have the creeks swollen...Be there on Monday...rain put a damper on things last spring as well

I went today. My first location had been over pressured. Found a gobbler at my second location, but didn't want to cross the road to chase him as another group of hunters were working that side. By mid morning the wind picked up and the birds shut down.

Went out today and except for the wind it was as silent as a cemetery....not a single gobble....bois d'arc bottoms weren't too bad.

It is. Rio's are the only turkeys with fall season.
