Does anyone have a sales person they recommend at Planet Ford in Spring? There is a truck I am interested in there and I have never dealt with that dealership.

I looked there for a F250 but ultimately went to AutoNation Ford Gulf Freeway. I dealt with Luis Delcid. Did everything online, showed up, signed the paperwork, and went on my way. Would highly recommend them.

As previously stated, numerous times, l’ll never set foot in there again. Their slogan of “We’re Dealing” is a bunch of crap. I’ve had cash in hand (twice) and left there without getting them to come down a cent. Lone Star Ford and Joe Meyers is where I’ve purchased my last two trucks. Very enjoyable experience. I honestly don’t know how PF stays in business.

Ben Hutzler was our sales guy at Planet Ford in Spring. He came recommended by a friend, and took good care of us. He was the first and only sales guy that actually knew more about the cars features than I did. I like to do my homework online before shopping, and he was still able to show me some things.

If they didn't have the exact car my wife wanted we would have walked. We were also in a bind at the time with me having to turn in my work truck after a promotion.

At one point while we were waiting around after agreeing upon the final price, the sales manager came over and said they would need to add $300 to the price because the computer would not let them sell at the price we had agreed upon. Talk about BUSH LEAGUE. We pretty much laughed it off and stuck to the price we agreed on, but that's the kind of folks we were dealing with.

Probably from people like me (I have never shopped there, I am just talking in general). I do my research and when I find a vehicle I want at a dealer that is under book, and cheaper than other dealers I've looked at, I don't haggle. I hate the haggling game. I just want to be out as quickly as possible with my vehicle. If I had to haggle I would probably never buy another vehicle, I dislike it that much lol.

This is how our deal went down at PF. I absolutely despise the back and forth BS. If they don't have a price I'm willing to pay on a vehicle I want, I won't even darken their doorway.

Mak Haik in Pasadena is 100x better than Planet Ford as far as service goes. I haven't purchased a vehicle there yet, but imo if they take care of people on the service side, sales is usually on the same page.

Good luck with you new truck!

Any dealer willing to try can either trade PF for that truck or locate another just like it

You did yourself in. You could of rented a car till the next time you were off. Never ever think you have to buy a car that day. They need you you don't need them!

The internet is the buyers best friend when it comes to car buying. I too do my homework before entering a car dealership. My last experience with PF was over a used Ford Fusion for my daughter. The wife went in and test drove it, and made them a blue book offer - cash. The sales person said they couldn’t come off of the listed price any as the car had just arrived on their lot the day before. I told my wife that CarFax showed it to be on their lot for 63 days, to which the salesperson stated “oh my mistake”. Still wouldn’t come down on price which was about $3k over KBB resale for a dealer. Then she told my wife that it was going to auction the very next day and that she’s have to pay the asking price or not buy it. I told her to bail and tell them to enjoy the auction (I was at work at the time). For the next 3 days my phone wouldn’t stop ringing. They tried everything they could to get us back in there. BYE FELICIA!

It all worked out OK in the end, but renting a car for a while wouldn't have been a bad idea.

A few years back I was looking for a truck and PF found one at a different dealer. I went in and made a deal with PF. They wanted a nonrefundable deposit to bring the truck in. I said I will give a deposit but it would need to be refunded if they brought that truck in and it was in like new condition. The man told me that it was a nonrefundable deposit. I told him no deal.

I would recommend driving north to Goodrich and getting a Ford or going to Mac Haik Ford. Both are great places. Planet Ford won't give a rats arse about you after you sign the papers

I bought my 2012 F350 there. They tried to screw me over but I caught them. The guy looked scared to death as I really could have got them in some serious trouble. Probably should have but I just made them give me the deal we had originally asked for.

I know nothing about planet ford.... BUT will issue this warning about dealerships that offer tooooo goood tooo be true deals. "Dealer add ons" you get there with agreed upon price then there's enough add one to wash the savings. All ford dealers worth a &$&% are within $500 apples to apples.... and not all "xlt, lariat etc are apples to apples. One feature here or there is $500-$1500. If in no hurry order one exactly like you want. Takes about6 weeks but you get what you want. Nothing more nothing less

I've heard good things about Holiday Ford. Them and Vernon Ford seem to have the best advertised prices. Holiday has a great reputation on the FTE forum.
