About to embark on what I hope to be the first of many hunting adventures with my princess. I’ll be shooting because we need to work on shooting skills a little more. Next year she will be shooting. This will be a short trip because there’s no telling how this will go haha. We have this evenings hunt and a morning hunt before we head back. Here goes nothing!!

Good luck! I took my daughter the first time last year and she loved it. I'll be taking her tomorrow with me again for a day hunt. She loves going now.

I did get a little worried as she was with me last year when I shot two deer and she wanted to name them. It was her way of showing them respect though. Was funny the first time we were eating them she asked is this Drake or Bubbles?

Names - Drake because it starts with a d and that one collapsed in the creek so I had to wade in to retrieve him, i.e. like a duck
Bubbles because she had blood bubbles around her mouth

Do something that is unique to her going. Mine asks me to put her hail in a ponytail for her now when we go because the first time I took her I did it and said that I've never had to do that before. With 2 brothers, she knows that's unique to her.
