International Space Station viewing tonight 3/21/18

Tonight at 8:50pm the ISS will be visible with a magnitude of -2.5. It will be pretty bright, but will be low on the horizon. We should be able to see it for 4 minutes or so.

If you haven't seen it before, it is worth the effort. The ISS will appear as a solid bright light (not blinking) that is steadily moving on the path shown in the photo. It will be one of the brightest, moving objects in the sky. The ISS orbits the earth at just over 17,000 mph.

The ISS is passing almost directly overhead for Houston folks and will be BRIGHT. A magnitude of -3.5 and visible for nearly 6 minutes.

It's still just going to be a little dot though, right? Like, no laser beams or strobes or music or anything?
