Who all doesn't drink alcohol?

Seems to be a few threads about alcohol. So does anyone not drink around here?

Me, I've stopped drinking June 15, 2012. At the time I was up to a 20 pack a day with a half pint chaser of vodka. Did that every day except sundays for years. No DWI but I've had 2 public intox and some liver problems. My twins just turned two at the time and decided that life wasn't for me anymore. Stopped that and a can of snuff a day habit and haven't looked back.

I don't not drink, but I can generally count on one hand how many beers or drinks I have in a month. Don't have anything against it, but don't get real excited about it either. Now put me in a casino in Shreveport and I might get more liquid courage than I need at the black jack table!

Oh yea, can't stand drunks and the idiots that get hammered and act like dumbarses. I'm a very calm, laid back drunk when/if I ever get that way.

I don't. Had some medical tests about 7 years ago and they suggested I abstain from alcohol prior to the tests. Didn't miss it during those weeks so I just decided that I wasn't gonna drink at all anymore...a few months later I decided to stop drinking carbonated drinks....haven't missed any of it.

Cold turkey? That's rather impressive.

I don't drink much. A drink at dinner every now and then if my wife and I leave the kids at home. Otherwise, nope. I did enough in my hell raiser days to last me for a lifetime.

I may have two beers a week at home. At the lease maybe five six around campfire.

I quit for 5 years, then had a 6 month span where I would have a few after work sometimes. I quit for good in October 2010 and don't miss it at all. Just water, black coffee and unsweet tea for me these days!

I can name on one hand in 56 years the beers I have had.. And about a thimble full in 20+ years of hard liquor...

I'd probably be a nice happy weight if I could put down carbonated drinks. I've quit for periods of time and always wind up drinking them again. Not sure why those are so tough for me.
