Eagles bluff and peach tree are in Bullard, south of Tyler. Those may be private courses. I don't play golf, but some guys I work with have played them. There are several others in the area, I'll ask around tomorrow.

Peach Tree is rough, but Oak Hurst is nice. Both public courses south of Tyler. They use the same club house.

Pine Springs is better than Peach Tree, but not as nice as Oak Hurst. Garden Valley is public, but never played there, nice course.

I played golf as a teenager, but quit when I hurt my back in college. I've been to Willowbrook, Hollytree, Emerald Bay, and Eagles Bluff as well. They are all private. Cascades is new, but also private I believe. Hide-a-way Lake is private never been there.

If he doesn't mind driving a bit, twin lakes in canton, challenge at the woods in jacksonville, and pine dunes in frankston are also public, but I haven't played there.

That's all I can think of, but there's probably more...

He understands that they may get better as spring comes.

Take a fairly short drive to Canton and play Twin Lakes.

Also forgot about Arrowhead. Course is not great, but it is cheap.

Pine Dunes is a great course. Also Garden Valley (cheaper but still a decent course)

For the money, canton is really nice.
Peach tree and oak hurst are good. Garden valley is going downhill FAST. The cascades is pga quality.

                            Go to canton
