Texans hunting Oklahoma...

I'm starting my search for some good hunting property to lease between Dallas and Stillwater, OK. Nothing needed immediately, but I wouldn't rule out jumping on the right deal now should it present itself. My son recently made the decision to play baseball at OSU while continuing his education....and being I've hunted TX my whole life, I'm not familiar with OK hunting at all. Stillwater is about 4.5hrs from where we live so something that would allow us to meet in the middle would be ideal. Any feedback on counties, leases, good contacts, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of public land options in Oklahoma, I usually stick a little further east than you'd probably like in Pushmataha and Choctaw counties on WMA's like Hanobia/Three rivers, Hugo, and Broken Bow. Lots of love for Pittsburg, Atoka, and Coal counties too. Sorry I couldn't be of any more help, but thats what I got.
